VISAGUARD.Berlin sponsors the Mechabellum Cup – and brings eSport to Germany

Gaming knows no boundaries. But anyone who wants to relocate to Germany as a professional gamer or content creator quickly encounters very real limitations: visa applications, residence permits, bureaucratic hurdles. This is precisely where VISAGUARD.Berlin comes in – and that's exactly why we're sponsoring the VISAGUARD.Berlin Mechabellum Cup, which will take place on twitch.tv on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 .

Law meets gaming

As a law firm specializing in immigration law, we support people every day on their journey to Germany – from skilled workers to entrepreneurs. However, one target group is often overlooked: the growing community of professional gamers, streamers, and esports professionals who travel internationally and want to come to Germany for tournaments, teams, or content projects. Our esports visa service fills precisely this gap. We are familiar with the requirements of the immigration authorities, know which documents are accepted, and ensure that a residence permit is not an obstacle to a career – but rather the first step.

The Cup

Together with streamer Dino Woot, we've organized a tournament that proves: law can be fun! Sixteen professional players will compete in the Mechabellum Cup, with the top four facing off in the grand final for the title – with a prize pool of €200. The tournament is played entirely in English, streamed live, and proudly bears our name: the VISAGUARD.Berlin Mechabellum Cup.

Why we do this

Because marketing doesn't always have to be done in a suit. Because we want to be present where our target audience actually is – in the stream, in the community, right in the thick of things. And because we're convinced: The future of skilled workers coming to Germany is more diverse, digital, and faster than many expect. Come check it out, cheer on the players – and if you're thinking about coming to Germany for your gaming career: We know the way.
